Paris Catacombs make you go back in time. Learn more about Paris’ geological age, 45 million years ago. "The sea in Paris": a temporary exhibition until February 2014.

Until February 28th, "The sea in Paris" is the first exhibition ever to reveal a little known aspect of Paris Catacombs.
Start a journey through time and space, 20 metres underground and 45 million years ago... and discover the history of the Lutetian sea. This temporary exhibition highlights the time when Paris was under water. Fossils of animals and crustaceans, geological strata... find out more about the time when Paris was occupied by a tropical sea.
