Directions to the CEA Saclay center

CEA Saclay is located about 15 miles from Paris and less than 7 miles from Versailles. It is easily accessible by car and by the RER and by an extensive bus network.

On your first day in Saclay

When you first arrive at CEA Saclay, you will need an access badge or "ID card". To get a badge, you must enter through the North Gate (Porte Nord) of the center, which is located on road D36, Route de Chateaufort. Click here to view the access map. As a newcomer, you will not be allowed to enter through other gates as you will not have a badge on your arrival.

By car

  • Coming from Paris, Porte de Saint-Cloud

Follow the direction BORDEAUX. Cross the PONT DE SEVRES bridge and take N118 towards BORDEAUX. Exit onto SACLAY. From the Christ de Saclay roundabout, follow the map .

  • Coming from Créteil

Take A86 towards VERSAILLES. Take the 30 A6/A10 exit , then exit onto N118. Exit onto SACLAY. From the Christ de Saclay roundabout, follow the map .

  • Coming from Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines

Take N286 towards VERSAILLES then follow A86 towards CRETEIL. Take exit N118 and towards BIEVRES A10 / A11 / EVRY-LYON. Exit onto SACLAY. From the roundabout le Christ de Saclay, follow the map.

Coming from Paris by RER and bus

  • To CEA Saclay main gate (North Gate, also called "Porte Nord") (compulsory if you do not have an access badge)

Take RER B towards "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE". Get off at "MASSY-PALAISEAU". Then take bus ALBATRANS 91-06 to the "CEA Porte Nord" bus stop.

  • To CEA Saclay East gate, also called "INSTN" (only if you already have an access badge)

Take RER B towards "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE". Get off at "LE GUICHET". Then take the bus TransEssonne 269.02 to the "INSTN - CEA/Saclay RN 306" bus stop.

Coming from Orly airport by RER and bus

The airport is located approximately 10 miles South of Paris. Take the "Orly Val" shuttle to the "ANTONY" bus station.

  • To CEA Saclay North Gate, also called "Porte Nord" (compulsory if you do not have an access badge)

Take RER B towards "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE". Get off at "MASSY-PALAISEAU". Then take the bus Albatrans 91-06 to the "Porte Nord" bus stop.

  • To CEA Saclay East gate, also called "INSTN" (only if you already have an access badge)

Take RER B towards "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE". Get off at "LE GUICHET". Then take the bus TransEssonne 269.02 to the "INSTN - CEA/Saclay RN 306" bus stop.

Coming from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport by RER and Bus

The airport is located about 20 miles North of Paris. RER B is a train which runs from the Charles de Gaulle airport to the center of Paris. There are about 4 trains per hour, from 5AM to 10PM. A bus goes from terminal 1 and 2 of Roissy airport to the RER station (on the arrivals floor: terminal 1, exit 28; on the departures floor: terminal 2A exit 5, terminal 2B exit 6, terminal 2D exit 2, terminal 2F exit F).

  • To CEA Saclay North Gate, also called "Porte Nord" (compulsory if you do not have an access badge)

Take RER B towards "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE". Get off at "MASSY-PALAISEAU". Then take the bus Albatrans 91-06 to the "Porte Nord" bus stop.

  • To CEA Saclay East gate, also called "INSTN" (only if you already have an access badge)

CEA Saclay shuttle

As a CEA Saclay employee, you will be able to take a private shuttle to go to work. You will find more information on the shuttles on your arrival.
